JOB POSTINGS

Alice Wilcoxson – 2021

Purdue University

Alice Wilcoxson earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University in physical education and athletic training, a master’s degree from the University of Indianapolis in physical therapy, and a PhD from Purdue University in Kinesiology and Pedagogy. She worked briefly at St Vincent Sports Medicine in Carmel, Indiana before transitioning to Purdue University in a joint appointment as an athletic trainer and assistant director of physical therapy. Alice discovered her passion for teaching during this time at Purdue University, which contributed to her decision to pursue a doctorate degree and develop her knowledge and skill related to pedagogy. She returned to Eastern Kentucky University as the Director of the Athletic Training Program Director and Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2000 – 2004. During this time, Alice began serving as a CAATE accreditation site-visitor and assisting with the administration of the Board of Certification examination. She returned to Purdue in August 2004 in a dual role as an athletic trainer within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and a faculty member in the Department of Health and Kinesiology. Alice has presented at numerous workshops and symposiums, including the IATA, GLATA and NATA annual meetings. She served on the NATA Professional Education Committee for many years, and currently serves GLATA as the District 4 Chair of the NATA Research and Education Foundation.
