POST AN OPEN POSITION

IATA strives to support the athletic training profession as well as individual athletic trainers through the posting of open AT positions throughout the state.

The fee for a job posting is $100 which keeps the post live for 60 days.  Additional time can be added at a rate of $50 for each additional 30 days.

Job postings will be listed on the IATA website, and notifications will be posted on social media and in the monthly e-blast sent to members. Fees must be paid in full before the job is posted on the website.

    Compensation Range: $35.00 - $35.00 Hour

    Position Description:

    Summary/objective

    The Athletic Trainer (ATC) position provides medical coverage and athletic training services to organizations connected with Forté Sports Medicine. The ATC is on the sidelines to evaluate, triage, and treat athletic injuries on site.

    Essential functions

    • Provide athletic training coverage for athletic events in and around central Indiana
    • Care for athletic injuries, using physical therapy equipment, techniques, or medication
    • Conduct initial assessment of an injury or illness to provide emergency care and to determine whether they should be referred to a physician for definitive diagnosis and treatment
    • Assess and refer athletes to Forté physicians
    • Apply protective or injury preventative devices such as tape, bandages, or braces as needed
    • Perform administrative tasks such as make phone calls and/or send emails to Outreach Manager, referrals to physician’s staff, and injury documentation.

    Employer/Location: Forté Sports Medicine & Orthopedics/IU Kokomo

    Compensation Range: $60000.00 - $65000.00 Salary

    Position Description: 

    Summary/objective

    • The IU Kokomo athletic trainer will assist with day-to-day on-site medical care for the IU Kokomo athletes.

    Essential functions

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
    • Provide onsite care and management of injuries and illnesses including but not limited to first aid/emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, application of appropriate modalities, developing and implementing rehabilitation and prevention programs
    • Minimize risk of injury through awareness, education, and prevention strategies
    • Develop and implement on-field return to play protocols
    • Documentation of all athlete injuries in the appropriate electronic medical record (EMR) system
    • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills required to work effectively with athletes, coaches, team personnel, family members, and event organizers
    • Communicate with physicians, physical therapists, and other athletic trainers regarding the injury status of athletes
    • Provide accommodation recommendations, related to sport, for student athletes with restrictions or limitations
    • Assist ordering inventory supplies and equipment
    • Comply with OSHA standards regarding blood borne pathogens
    • Play an active role in creating a professional environment within the academy through athlete interactions, maintaining the standard, and driving club culture
    • Responsible for administration and other duties as assigned by supervisor
    • Sport assignment for athletic trainers is fluid and decided on by the athletic training staff

    Position Description: 

    The clinical assistant provides clinical support in a high-volume practice of orthopedic surgeons.  The position is responsible for a wide variety of clinical and clerical duties.

    Essential functions

    • Assists patients to/from clinic areas
    • Assist physicians during office visits
    • Scribe patient information into the EMR system
    • Retrieve patient information from EMR system
    • Conduct preliminary patient evaluations
    • Communicate information with patients as directed by physician
    • Provide appropriate patient education regarding injuries
    • Manage and prioritize phone calls and electronic communication
    • Schedule patient testing
    • Obtain prior authorizations

    • Able and willing to handle high patient care volume on a daily basis
