BOC Update: Continuing Professional Certification (CPC) Concept - Practical Applications

Nathanial R. Eckert, PhD

Teaching/Research Associate Professor at University of Indianapolis specializing in exercise physiology, neuroscience, and motor control. My research interest is on understanding neurophysiological mechanisms that are associated with acute and chronic pain and its influence on motor control. My current research focus is on understanding the pain response (acute/dynamic) in young healthy adults compared with aging and/or clinical populations, specifically focusing on spinal and supraspinal mechanisms and interactions. Additionally, I wish to investigate the influence of exercise on these mechanisms and as an intervention strategy for pain and other clinical populations.
